Do my ovaries look fat?

Well so it is now CD 12...
The Femara regime on CD 3-7 went fairly well I would say.

Yesterday DH and I drove the 5hrs to the clinic to get my follie scan, which I guess was okay.  I have 3 follies...then drove 5 hrs back in the freezing rain!  Ugh!  I love my man for coming with me all that way for a quick ultrasound!

They gave me my Ovidrel shot to take home.  I will "shoot" myself up tonight around 8PM.  The thing is, my left ovary (the one with the goodies) is feeling full already!  Like I feel that I am about to O on my own.  I really am hoping that everything is going to work out, timing wise.
The plan is to BD tonight after the trigger, then again Saturday morning (36 hrs post trigger) and probably again Christmas just to be sure!

I, being the OCD freak I am, have been completely obsessed with trying to find Femara success stories, Ovidrel success stories, first round success stories, and everything in between!  I have been less than productive lately!

I am sure the tww will bring out a whole new set of compulsive behaviours!  Can't wait!

Femara and no IUI

So because our file was missing some bloodwork for my DH, we could not go ahead with IUI this month.  I talked them into letting me take the Femara, have the ultrasound and trigger and then just do the deed at home the "old-fashioned" way!  I am now on Day 2 of Femara, and aside from being really tired with a slight headache, I feel okay.  I have an ultrasound booked for December 21st to see how my follies are doing.  I go for acupuncture tomorrow and am really looking forward to it!

I admit that Christmas has sort of been an afterthought for me this year as all I have on my mind is ttc!  It sure is all-encompassing!

Hope with IUI; a new journey

Lots to say...

We finally sat down with the FS and got all the results from the vast amount of tests we had done.  Here is the lowdown:
AMH - 0.16 - VERY LOW ovarian reserve
FSH - 12.18
Spermogram - excellent
Antral Follicle Count - 8/3 - okay, not great
Karotyoe - Normal
Hemoglobin A1c - .057 - slightly elevated

So what does that mean?  Well, i have to have another blood sugar test done to see about possible Type 2 diabetes...I have very few eggs left...and I need some help.
So what are we going to do?

We are about to embark on our first IUI ( he recommends 3 - I will do 2 before insisting we move on)
What he prescribed:
Metformin (for the high glucose levels)
DHEA 75 mg
CoQ10 - 600 mg
Folic Acid 5mg
Femara CD 3-7, Ovidrel trigger shot, Progesterone from night of IUI on
If BFP, Progesterone for 12 weeks

I had a great chat with my Naturopath this morning and will be starting acupuncture on the 15th.  She made me feel pretty good about what my FS had prescribed, and about what she feels my chances are.

So now I am just waiting for AF to get here so we can start this new journey.  I am feeling positive :)
